The start of a Formal Countdown

08 February 2011 by Marzie in Fashion, Homepage

Unless you live in Western Australia and you are in the middle of School Ball season, your school formal won’t be until later in the end of the year. With this much time up your sleeve you can start looking at your school formal countdown and see what you’ll need to sort out before the big day. It's officially time to put on those thinking caps!

One of the smartest things you can do is make up a Formal Budget. Wether you’re paying for your formal, your parents are, or you’re sharing the cost, a School Formal Budget (that you stick to!) is a good idea. Some things that you might have in your Budget include the Ticket, the Dress, Shoes, Makeup (products or salon time), Hair (salon treatment/style or up-do on the day), Clutch, Beauty treatments (spray tan, facials, waxing, etc), Transport there (hiring a limo or car for arrival), Accessories and Underwear. Estimate the costs for each item on the list and then you’ll have an idea of how much you’ll need to have in total.

This time of year you’ll be deciding on themes if you’re on the committee and splitting up into subcommittees. But, wether you’re on the committee or not, you’ll definitely be checking out fashion styles and starting your hunt for the perfect dress. Having a look through the High School Formals fashion pages and checking out the Body Shape Guides is a good place to start.
