Jungle Theme

Formals don’t always have to be “formal” events. It’s a commemoration of the end of 12 years of school and a time to celebrate. One Formal Theme Idea is “Jungle Party”. While you may not want to dress the part (everyone would no doubt rock up as Tarzan and Jane), all the food and decorations could play the part. We have a few of our own Rain Forest ideas that will get you thinking:

Play scenes from relevant movies on a projection screen in the background like “The Jungle Book” or “Fern Gully”. It would be a cool and entertaining show that looks great when you’re on the D Floor.

Have your waiters in themed outfits. They could be dressed as gorillas or lions or safari explorers. Have fun with it!

Decorate your venue. Throw up some vines here, some canopy there… voila! Jungle styled venue. It doesn’t necessarily have to look like a pre school on papier-mache day for you to get the point across with a theme. Sometimes, less is more.  Set up jungle themed centre pieces and table settings like fruit baskets and palm leaves. Get some totem poles for the entrance. This theme is fun so you can really have fun with embellishing your venue with this one.

Entertainers are a great way to spice up a formal. You could hire Fire Breathers or tribal drummers to put on a show and set the mood for the night.

Making a statement on arrival. While you probably won’t be able to ride an elephant into your formal, you could probably find a jeep that would suit a safari style entrance!
